THIS PF FLYERS SHOE WAS DESIGNED FOR SOMEONE WHO WANTS THEIR FOOTWEAR TO FEEL AS GROUNDED AS THE PLACES THEY WEAR IT. THE CHALLENGE WAS CREATING SOMETHING THAT FELT CONNECTED TO NATURE, CALM, AND GROUNDING, WHILE STILL BEING PRACTICAL ENOUGH TO WEAR EVERY SINGLE DAY, ALL TIED BACK TO THE FROG AS A SYMBOL OF THAT CONNECTION. RATHER THAN REDESIGNING THE SILHOUETTE FROM SCRATCH, I KEPT PF FLYERS' CLASSIC CONSTRUCTION INTACT AND REWORKED THE COLORWAY AND STORY AROUND IT. THE RESULT IS A SHOE THAT CARRIES A DEEPER NARRATIVE WHILE STILL FEELING LIKE THE EVERYDAY CLASSIC IT WAS ALWAYS MEANT TO BE.
the challenge
Making "grounded" legible in a shoe
The brief was more feeling than spec — grounded, calm, connected to nature — which is hard to translate onto a sneaker without it reading as a gimmick. It also had to work as a daily shoe, not a display piece, so the story couldn't come at the cost of wearability.
the solution
We designed a modular dashboard system with intelligent data prioritization, allowing users to focus on what matters most. Clear visual hierarchy through typography, color, and spacing guides the eye naturally. Customizable widgets enable users to build their ideal workspace, while smart defaults ensure newcomers aren't overwhelmed. Real-time updates and interactive visualizations make data exploration engaging and insightful.
